United Community Bank is a major provider of residential home construction loans for both large tract builders who build out entire subdivisions and smaller builders in more rural markets who may build and sell 10-15 properties per year. These loans are available to contractors with good credit for terms up to 12 months at amounts up to 80% of the appraised value of the home to be built. Our construction lenders are experienced in handling a wide variety of construction lending requests from starter homes to second homes. Rates on construction loans are typically floating rates, based on Wall Street prime rate, and are very competitive in all our markets.
